Bleach

“Bleach” is a Japanese manga, or comic, series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It tells about the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki who accidentally obtains the abilities of a shinigami, a Japanese death personification, or reaper. Kurosaki then starts to protect humans, guide departed spirits to the soul society, and fight evil spirits called hollows. Bleach manga was first published in August 2001 up to present with a total of 37 volumes.

Compiled volumes of the manga has topped manga sales charts in the United States. It has spawned several media franchise including television, video animation, animated feature film, rock musical, video game, and related merchandise. The “Bleach” television series was released in October 2004 up to present, totalling 213 episodes. The animé series was considered top 10 animé in America from 2006 to 2008.
