Dark Horse Comics
Dark Horse Comics gained worldwide fame for its licensed properties that includes Star Wars, Aliens, and Predator. It is regarded as one of the largest independent American comic book publishers after giants, Marvel Comics and DC Comics. Dark Horse was founded by Mike Richardson, who started as an owner of several comic book shops in Oregon. In 1986, Richardson published an anthology series called Dark Horse Presents using his shops’ profits for the Dark Horse Comics.

Dark Horse’s Hellboy
To date, Dark Horse’s line includes “Hellboy,” “The Goon,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Sin City,” “Groo,” and “The Umbrella Academy.” It has greatly flourished into the film industry. Dark Horse continues to look for growth opportunities encouraging creators to license their properties into new markets with the publisher.
