Naruto
“Naruto” is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto in November 1999 up to present. It is now in its 45th issue and comes with an English adaptation for worldwide readership. It follows the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a teenage ninja in search for recognition. He aspires to become a hokage, the strongest ninja and village leader. The first series of the manga was adapted into animé and was released from October 2002 through February 2007, with a total of 220 episodes.

Naruto Series
A sequel, “Naruto: Shippuden,” first aired in February 2007 up to present and is not at its 102nd episode. Apart from manga and animé releases, “Naruto” also comes in original video animation (a total of five films), video games, and trading cards. The English version of Naruto manga appeared several times in the USA Today Booklist, where volume 11 earned the Quil Award in 2006. Critics praised the series for its characters and for having a balance between action and comedy.
